|Dom's Day - Sunday, October 8, 2017 - Longwood High School
We are planning our fourth annual Dom’s Day to support The Dominic Trionfo Memorial Fund on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Longwood High School in
Middle Island. Thank you for all those who helped make last year’s a big success. With everyone’s contributions either it be monetary, time, and/or
spreading the word about our event and fund, we can continue to have this wonderful day in memory of Dominic as well as support community
scholarships and boating/water safety efforts. Please check back often for updates about Dom's Day. Our flier with all the details is below.
Updates: Large Ticket Raffle, Jester Jim performance, Pumpkin Picking and Decorating, and more!
Rachel's Coloring for Kids will have a collection box for coloring books and crayons. (Rachel brings these to children in the hospital.)
Blessings in a Backpack will have collection box also. They will be collecting macaroni and cheese and Progresso soup.
Like last year the Longwood Varsity Football team will be running the concession stand. All proceeds made from there will benefit their team.
As many of you know we lost our Dominic Trionfo on May 20, 2012 in a family boating accident. Our family has established a non-profit organization
whose mission is to provide the Longwood community with both academic and athletic scholarships as well to promote the importance of boating and
water safety throughout Long Island. Dominic played football for Longwood High School and LYSA. He loved the Jets and playing for Longwood. He had
a compassionate heart and kind soul. This October Dominic would have been turning 20. He probably would have played on the varsity football team and
would have graduated at Longwood High School June 2015. To honor Dominic and his love of the water, our family has established a not-for-profit
organization to promote the importance of boater and water safety on Long Island. We created a Boater and Water Safety Activity Book and Classroom
Program. It was test piloted at Coram Elementary School in Longwood in May 2017 and it went very well. The program will be distributed to classrooms
across Long Island next spring. Our organization has already distributed over $10,000 in academic and athletic scholarships to the Longwood Community
since 2012. We wanted to set a day to keep Dom’s memory alive as well as raise funds for these important causes.
With everyone's help, monetary and basket contributions, and time, last year's Dom's Day was a success. We appreciate your generosity and look forward
to seeing everyone again. Registration and soliciting has begun for the Fourth Annual Dom's Day. In order to make this a success again, we need the help
of everyone. We will need help with football events, sponsorships, hospitality, baskets, publicity, setup, clean up, and more. Please email
firstname.lastname@example.org, if you haven't already, your name and phone number. You will be contacted soon with more information.
If you would like to contribute a basket or basket items, please contact email@example.com with your information by the end of
September. We appreciate all support and are assembling baskets valued at fifty dollars or more again. We have found this raises substantially more for
